As a big fan of TYT, I'm disappointed in their coverage so far of KONY 2012, not for what they said, but for not addressing other issues raised in the blogosphere - particularly about the discovery of oil - LINK - in one of the world's most corrupt nations. It's a complicated story unfolding like a movie and it'll be interesting to see how it develops.

At the time of the above video, TYT seem to be unaware of any such links to oil. See comments at 7:50-8:33. Even much more well-funded news agencies were unaware for some time.

for all the haters of Kony: isnt it just nice that people are coming together for something important rather than the X-factor etc?

Latest comment: Yes, unless the creators of Kony think we are as braindead as those who watch the X Factor and are taking us for chumps. If they are then they are more insulting than the makers of X Fator. But we'll see though, hey?
