Mother and child sit out an earthquake

(1:22) In an amazing display of control, a mother shows how to keep your head when all around you is mayhem. From YT: "My daughter lives in Sendai, Japan and had just finished lunch at a restaurant on 3-11-11 when the 9.0 earthquake struck. The video was made by Hiroki, a 15 y.o. friend of the family. The video starts after the quake had already been going on for a while and stops prior to the end of the quake. Tiffany pulled her 4 y.o. son across the table to help comfort him prior to the video starting. Note the changes in the intensity of the quake and the loss of electrical power. The area where this video was taken was not affected by the tsunami."

Guest: Richard S (447 days ago) This makes me rage. This child will grow up now fearing nothing instead being lulled into a false sense of security by that fruitcake of a mother. If I were to work for child services, which I don't, I would be rounded up to be mad at this lady's lackadaisical attitude toward such extreme danger. Scaring the sh*t out of a four year old isn't going to accomplish anything. She'll have plenty of time later to teach him safety, but she's doing to right thing for the situation by keeping him calm(although she probably should have gone under the table).
