2012 Global Atheist Convention's tribute to Christopher Hitchens

(11:10) Unfortunately, Christopher Hitchens was not able to make the 2012 Global Atheist Convention in Australia. This is their tribute to one of the great proponents of thinking for yourself, Christopher Hitchens. www.atheistconvention.org.au

I know this sounds like a cliché at this stage, but "I'll miss him"... (the only public comentator that I think I would feel that about)

It's so sad that after millions of years of evolution, and mountains of scientific proof, that belief can steal peoples rationality. Even when society becomes morally superior to the bible, and the bible has to upgrade in response, believers STILL maintain they have the moral high ground. You cannot argue against belief - unfortunately Hitchens and Dawkins sadly are proof of that; articulate, informed and educated human beings have no value in the eyes of irrational delusion...

Latest comment: By far, one of the most fascinating human beings ever I have had the pleasure of listening to. Thankfully, we have video of his genius to treasure, and he continues to bring like-minded folks together, for which I am eternally grateful.

This is a fitting (albeit brief) tribute to a man who made sense, pulled no punches and went out of his way to put religion into perspective. Although there are equally persuasive anti-faith orators there has yet to emerge an equal to Christopher Hitchens, but I'd love to think that his message is still gaining ground.

What a wonderful man. May he rest in peace! His soul is in Abraham's lap now...
