Great US leaders who smoked weed

(5:11) When "Father of the Constitution" James Madison (1751 - 1836) credited hemp to giving him the insight to create a new democratic nation, it was likely he was referring to marijuana. The term 'marijuana' came into use in the English language during the late 19th century to differentiate the strains of hemp (cannabis) that had enough THC to get you stoned. Before then, there were just varying grades of hemp. THC is the active ingredient in cannabis that gets you stoned. Hemp is cannabis with low THC content.
