I think that fool summed up the thoughts of the majority of the unemployed. He mentioned menial jobs which he thinks are below him. There are jobs out there but a lot of people wont do them.

What a loyal supporter of the 1% you are dananddiana. OWS do not want freebies, they want a fairer society. You don't want that? They want limits on corporate greed. Accountability in finance and politics and a halt to the growing police state. They are part of a struggle for real freedom, a word that has been made meaningless by rampant capitalism. To win against Hannity you must shout louder than him because reason is not permitted on fox. Jesse Ventura would eat him alive because Hannity is a coward.

This OWS guy is the best illustration of why I am not a supporter of the movement. They use extremely poor arguments based mostly on heresay and conspiracy theories. Worst of all, they have a sense of entitlement based on an absolutely impossible model. I can't believe the BoreMe editor (who I took to be a clever person) can still say he/she is a supporter of OWS

Harrison had a great opportunity, he walked in with totally the wrong attitude and that's what Sean fed off... he was totally the wrong spokesperson for the OWS movement! There were rapes from some bad people in the camp, the same as there are rapists outside. OWS didn't create rapists. There is a problem, the system we have is failing. Job numbers are going down as the population goes up. BUT Harrison really should have sent someone with speaking experience or PR knowledge...

Sean Hannity is probably applauding the protesters in other countries. He comes across as a dick and a BULLY!!

If you consider pointing out the blatant idiocy of OWS and particularly Harrison Schultz to be bullying, if you think stating that the whole world owes you free education, healthcare, transportation, housing etc and having someone tell you that you are a lazy arse and need to go work for a living like everyone else is bullying.....You are an idiot!
AND If you think anyone with brains in their heads will believe that the NYPD sent rapist's etc to make you idiots look bad....... LMAO!!!
Sean Hannity ain't no bully!.
OWS Is a dumb movement for people who are too lazy to fix their own lives, who just blame everyone else for their problems. A bunch of have nots who will never have because they spend all their time whining instead of working!

He is a dick and a bully, but he won this argument easily using pretty logical questions. Just because he's not a nice person doesn't mean he always wrong.

He din't "win" the argument. He simply browbeat his 'guest' into submission. This is neither news, nor commentary. It is ambush/deer-in-the-headli ghts journalism at its worst.
It would be nice in Hannity would give his guest a chance to answer questions... before he asks another.
Everytime I am *ahem* treated to a clip from Fox, i rejoice that I don't get the channel in my nation.

dananddiana, two points: First, Norway, Netherlands and Germany- countries with free health care and education, are among the wealthiest in the world from the standpoint of standard of living and economic indicators (Human Development Index) WHILE having fairly low Gini indices (the measure of income equality). People still have to work, and go to school, but taking care of your citizens is viewed as being beneficial to the whole nation, since a healthier, smarter population contributes more usefully. Second, a lot of the people who are out of jobs did not "choose" that situation, and many are jobless because of corporate greed, or because of impossible circumstances: imagine a single mom who wants to work as waitress earning $350 a week while daycare cost $150 a week for her two kids. $500 in rent, $200 in utilities and gas and she has $100 left for groceries, medicine, clothes and transit for the month. Yes, there are certainly those who don't want to work, but I don't think that represents most of the unemployed.

@ glortman
I don't disagree with universal health care, I am a Brit/ Canadian with a Dutch mother and know that this is good and works. I do however have a problem with people like him who think the world owes them a living.
Help for underpaid workers...Yes.
Not taking a job because you can't find one in your chosen field (One that you didn't research for job availability before educating yourself) and expecting the government to support you...NO!
Violent disrupting demonstrations, and blaming the authorities for said demonstrations .......No!
We need more jobs, we need financial help for people who are willing to work, etc but OWS is not the way to do it. They haven't accomplished much more than turning people against them because of their negative behavior.
Ironically they are being the bullies and expect to gain something positive from it.
BTW... I don't think the OWS movement represents most of the unemployed, they just represent a very vocal minority who think they represent everyone else :-)

I think a few of you on here should check out the Occupy movement in Ireland and see the sort that are supporting these movements. They recently jumped on the bandwagon of a couple who were being evicted from there 5 million euro home whilst having over a dozen other properties which were earning them thousands every week in rent. I've said it before most of those fools are just protesting for protests sake.

Is this kid really dumb enough to think that the police would send rapists to a protest site so that they would rape the protestors? Retard.

Not at all greenman. You probably just consume mainstream news information without pausing to think if you are being controlled by a ruling class ideology. Of course underhand tactics are used. Do you think the USA is as immune to treating its populace any better than Syria does? State interests are protected at any cost, it's just that Syria has had to really up the ante lately as it is under considerable attack. Greenman it is you who needs to come into the real world, along with the millions of sheeple around you.

I couldn't agree with you more! We are being controlled! That's why I recommend a double layer of aluminum foil under your cap ANYTIME you're outside. It is just the only way to go man! Be safe!

Schultz brought a knife to a gunfight. He started friendly, and was not prepared for Hannity's simple line of questioning. I think if you are going to fashion yourself the organizer of a movement that views the current form of capitalism as a threat, you should have good answers for why you think so, and should anticipate your interviewer's criticism.

How infuriating! Thank god I don't have Fox in England. OWS is the most inspirational movement of our generation, and we should be proud of it. The Internet helped the Arab world revolt against corruption - now we have to get the money out of our democracy as it just doesn't work. OWS is a step in the right direction - just stop listening to shit like this and think for yourself! Step out of the current system and think how it could be fairer - simple really.
