Curious. What if the person had misbehaved - exposed themselves or something? Also, taking someone's place is not totally without reward. You get some publicity and kudos. So I'm not convinced this is simple to interpret. But good on the Swedes for doing it!

Latest comment: What this proved was that - with nothing to loose, and social media-whoring-points to gain - people wanted to be in the box.. Now try it with random nutters shooting at you for something your government has done... and booby-trap parts of the box so there is a genuine element of fatal danger... see how many people volunteer then.
