How planets around other stars are found

(4:27) Planet hunter James McCormac explains how planets around other stars are found. Some equipment used in the first stage of planet hunting is not as esoteric as you might expect. Cameras and long lenses regularly used by sports photographers are good enough to differentiate between a star and the same star dimmed because there's a planet in front.
