Actually, I would probably buy a used car from him. First, he is dedicated: to do that project over four years shows remarkable constancy and determination. Second, he has friends and people involved in his life, and appears to have meaningful relationships. Third, even with all his weird hair, and tattoos, many times he had a work shirt on, showing that he can get and keep a job. Last, I have seen enough smarmy, lying salesmen in my day to be able to pick out the decent ones, and I bet he would fit the bill.
