Texas GOP wants to ban critical thinkingTexas GOP wants to ban critical thinking

(4:24) It reads more like an Onion headline. That's just one of the many startling positions adopted by the Texas' Republican Party at its recent convention in Fort Worth. Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks lets off some steam.

I checked out the Texas GOP platform. All this and the repeal of the Endangered Species Act; to not recognize homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle; they oppose United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child; they believe believe the current teaching of a multicultural curriculum is divisive; they reaffirm the use of corporal punishment in schools; abstinence only sex education; they want to repeal a 'Hate Crimes' law which was designed to protect gays from assault or on June 27, 2012, murder; boot camps for juvenile offenders; that parental corporal punishment be excluded from child abuse laws; they support reducing taxpayer funding to all levels of education institutions; they want the repeal of the Minimum Wage Law, and a variety of other ideas. Sounds great guys. Have fun with your stone age.

Sounds like Texas GOP and the Taliban should get together. They would probably agree on so much.
