Wow this guy clearly has some social difficulties. He doesn't understand the different levels and types of contact we build in our lives, and can't tolerate a social plane where there is superficial contact. He has a real nostalgia for some imagined golden age of social interaction that didn't exist. He yearns for the taboos and etiquette that stifled expression for thousands of years before the communication revolution. He presents this as a revolutionary ideology, but in fact it is a reactionary one. He doesn't like seeing people as they really are, and sees his role as voyeuristic and their role as narcissistic. His is a view which has involved a lot of thought on how others don't conform to his ideal, but little thought on what others are actually saying and why others choose to communicate in these ways. Perhaps the best thing for him was to switch off Facebook, because he can't/isn't prepared to use it in a way that meets his own needs rather than other peoples'.
