Latest comment: Old news Richard Attenborough the famous naturalist and broadcaster has already done it. I've seen the video footage, "The Fly" was in all three films.

I really hope I live long enough to see some of this happen. I'd be happy with a mammoth born from an elephant.

A Neanderthal? As Kaku says, in a zoo or in Harvard? There's an ethical minefield here. But the UK's Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (www.hfea.gov.uk) has addressed some of them already.

Didn't Hitler manage to resurrect something very like the ancestral auroch by selective breeding? The breeding program would work by restoring effectiveness to ancient genes that were still present in the modern animals.

He keeps pronouncing Neanderthal incorrectly. I used to do it that way too until I learned the correct way. English pronunciation /niˈændərˌθɔls/, /niˈændərˌtɔls/, /niˈændərˌtɑls/ or /neɪˈɑndərˌtɑls/ you pronounce the end as "tal" not "thal"

These people must not be allowed to continue without first having their eyelids propped open and being forced to watch Jurassic Park 648 times. Special attention will be given to providing close-ups of all the most gruesome parts.
