Kerry, I thought we came to an understanding a while back that because neither of us are climate experts, the right thing to do is accept the scientific consensus. The consensus among climatologists, whichever way you count it, is well over 90%. Remember, the laws of physics don't give a shit about your political or personal views. And don't take it personally, they don't give a shit about mine either.

Oh sure. I can see how the 2 degrees Fahrenheit increase in the last 100 years contributed to hurricane Sandy. It's not like you can see that much variation year after year. Of course that's a little sarcasm but I'm serious about this. In your opinion, do you think every year that we have a 2 degree increase in temperature from the previous year that we will have more hurricanes and if the temperature drops 2 degrees the following year that those hurricanes will not form? Yes, warm water does create hurricanes because hot air rises and causing a low pressure where that has to be filled by higher pressures around the surrounding areas. I just have doubt that a 2 degree increase within the last 100 years is what causes this. So does that mean we didn't have any hurricanes 100 years ago? Think about that.

Latest comment: Actually what we need to worry about is how the excess co2 in the atmosphere made the sun and moon line up at just the right time. that was scary. btw sandy was a tropical storm not a hurricane

Obviously you are speaking as an expert climatologist who has done extensive studies of climate change?

Maybe it was and maybe it wasn't - we'll never really know... But doesn't it make sense to prepare for the possibiity it might get worse and take steps that might prevent it getting worse? BTW he says "London is putting a sea barrier..." The Thames Barrier has actually been operating for nearly 30 years.

I like that link but it's not a valid study because it doesn't include all the right people. It seems it could be biased by not including as my scientists on the side of global warming. They picked people that are clearly non-experts and then summarize that global warming is pushed by activists. That's not an assumption you can make by looking at a limited list like that.
