“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Sand is composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles. So, technically, those houses are built on rock.

Just because Beelzebub quoted scripture, does not mean he/she is wrong. These houses were built on sand. Winds blew against them. They fell down. Period. People often quote literature for illustrative purposes, whether or not the literature is supposed to be factual. Many people are offended that there is truth in the Bible, but needn't be. Besides, Beelzebub is supposed to be the devil, who "can cite scripture for his [own] purpose." MOV 1:3

Latest comment: Were those houses really built on sand or was there a concrete slab created? Did those houses collapse because they were built on the sand or did the sand cover the houses? If this was the case, then none of the houses near the sand would have survived but you can see that many did. Additionally, several structures that were not on the sand were demolished -- the photos and videos of New York is a good example.

A quick tip.....any statement or sentence that begins with a number "just so you know which one it is" Is stupid. Quoting bible verse is pointless and....oh yeah....stupid. Conviction that bronze age writings that have been re edited and re written a dozen times...is THE WORD of a non existent god.....is REALLY STUPID!!!

As a point of clarification, the new testament is not bronze age, but classical antiquity. But of course you are correct. Time to get rid of writings by all of those idiots: Homer, Plato, Socrates, Sapho, Confucius, Marcus Aurelius, Ptolemy, Ovid, Lao Tzu. REALLY STUPID!!!
