Latest comment: So who exactply does the richest country in the world owe all that money too. The countries that they owe money too are all in debt too, who do they owe it too. The truth is that money is the biggest illusion ever. It doesn't exist and is created out of nothing and in reality if everyone could come to concorde and just agree to right off all the debt owed and owing then we could start again - in theory. Greed is the problem.

The government sells savings bonds. Just under $5 trillion of the national debt is owed to the Social Security Trust Fund and federal pension systems. A little more than $11 trillion is owed to foreign and domestic investors and the Federal Reserve, which buys up treasuries in order to drag down interest rates through quantitative easing. China and Japan are the top foreign investors with just a little over a trillion each. There are a dozen other countries that we owe money too and that is about a trillion in total for those.

it's quite easy, the Federeal Reserve is a private bank not owned or operated by the government in the US. It is as about as Federal as Federal Express. It lends money to the government and charges interest. US is fooked. FR is owned and run by families such as the rockerfellers
