Latest comment: Yes - and so is hypocrisy. I know of 2 NGOs where Virgin professed involvement - but as they never did a thing to support the charities, we can only suspect their involvement was prompted by free publicity and brand-building. The man is a masterful self-publicist. What he actually says is hypothetical: "Now I'm in that position, it would be very sad to waste that position." While this is undoubtedly true, he doesn't tell us about anything he has actually done or promises to do. Bill Gates is using his wealth to make the world a better place - and it would be great if Branson actually did something similar

Big words, Richard - but what have you actually done philanthropically? Creating jobs to swell the Virgin coffers is not philanthropy. Put your money where your teeth are.
