TYT - Why Americans don't like their politicians

(7:24) A combination of polls show that the American people are getting wiser to their political system. It's bought and they know it. Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks breaks it down.

cengland0 is well spoken, but your assessment of how Congress runs our government is vague at best. Bills past into law do not always favor the majority of people. Plus, salaries on Capital Hill is surely a comical topic. You are entitled to your argument and thank you for your close minded views. Feel free to ridicule my comments asshole. I will not respond.

The current salary (2013) for rank-and-file members of the House and Senate is $174,000 per year. LINK That is NOT an extraordinary amount especially considering they are the leaders of the largest free country in the world. President Barack Obama earns a base salary of $400,000 per year. LINK An actor like Mike Myers makes $55 million a year. Which job do you think is more difficult? Obama was a lawyer before becoming a Senator and then President. I'm sure most good lawyers make more than the President so it's not a job you take for the money. These people want to make our country a better place and believe they have the ability to affect change. That's why they take these jobs -- not for financial reasons.

Cenk, you need to understand the poll. Congress as a whole may not be doing a good job so you have to look at individual representatives and senators and ask about them. The polls increased in approval ratings because the public agrees with their politicians on how they voted on the bills. Just because some of those citizens are disgruntled because they lost their job or something, they are quick to blame the government for their own problems. Regarding them representing the "people who pay them," that is the tax dollars that pay their salaries. They are not allowed to accept bribes and anyone caught doing so will be prosecuted. This whole video is just propaganda for wolfpac which is looking to raise $50k. So, if you're looking to get money out of politics, first thing is to boycott wolfpac.

Really? You cannot understand what I just said? I'm willing to help you out if you tell me specifically which sentence is too complicated for you and I'll see if I can dumb it down so you can understand it better.

Most of us don't care what cengland0 has to say on most topics. Too obsessed with facts, too wordy, too argumentative in proving that his opinion is right and too little sense of humor to understand anything that is meant to be funny. Actually, pretty boring.
