So if I eat meat, I don't have to be nice to animals? Wow, what a logic!

If you eat meat, being nice to animals you deem to be cute will seem slightly hypocritical, as presumably 'being nice' also implies not purposefully rearing them and systematically slaughtering them to fill your stomach. Maybe. You think it's more logical to try to save the lives of ducklings, while eating their cousins? Mmmkay. American by any chance?

why do trolls feel the need to pee over every nice thing thats posted. This was a good video. The comment about the person saving ducks was good too. But some self righteous A holes feel they can bolster their trivial lives by slinging mud anonymously. Cowards. You would never do that in person. You are weak and trying to over compensate for your own failings

Latest comment: Well John J. Barrington, I'm sure that by using your own real name (no doubt), you don't regard calling people 'self-righteous a-holes' or 'cowards' or 'weak' to be anonymous mud-slinging? Or were you trying to be deliberately hypocritical?

I rescued ducklings from a storm drain twice. The first time I had to crawl on my hands and knees from the entrance of the drain to the lake, about 150 feet, to capture the ducklings. wasn't fun. The second time the mommy duck didn't like me near her babies so she jumped on me and pooped all over my shirt. I wish these drains had a finer mesh over them to prevent small animals from falling through. The grill was so heavy that it took two people to lift it off.

That's amazing of you. Even more amazing is your humility, and how you don't feel the need to brag about this kind of daily good deed or gain any kind of credit or respect for it.

No payment. I just love animals and it is the fault of humans creating those drains that put the animals at risk. I felt it was my duty to assist the innocent animals. My only payment is the satisfaction I received at the end of the job that I was able to save several lives.
