Latest comment: Every time I look at modern architecture, I can't help thinking that contemporary architects just don't get it. They haven't understood what architects of yore seemed to know - that the beauty of landscapes is not just due to curves or straight lines, but due to its fractal nature. Fractals are beautiful, and some of the greatest older buildings have this property of repeating shapes from the large scale on a smaller scale. Plants, trees, forests, rugged coastlines and mountains all have this property.
