(25 pics) Words from a cashier in a fast food outlet: "Those grill marks on your burger aren't real. They are put there by the factory."

I agree with some of the other comments: some of the "facts" about junk food are junk. A vegetarian salad definitely does not equal a Big Mac. Big Macs are 550 calories. A no-chicken salad from McDonald's complete with their highest calorie dressing is still less than half the calories of a Big Mac. Now, if you go with the chicken and salad and include the breaded fried chicken and the ranch dressing, then you're competing with a Big Mac, but that's not what's in the picture. And don't get me started on HFCS. That was simply a lie. HFCS is cheap because we're taxed to subsidize it... and then more tax crazy idiots want to tax it again so it's not cheap for us. Geez. Stop already.

Show proof that chili is made out of meat from old burgers because the restaurants are saying that is not true. Now the burden of proof is on the person making the claim that it is true. Regarding salads having just as many calories as one Big Mac, that’s due to the fatty dressing which is optional. About the salads being made several days earlier, why is that a problem? Have you bought salad from a bag in a grocery store? Know when that was made? If you bought the raw ingredients, when were those harvested before you bought them? And the last one about even the pizza crust has sugar — no kidding. Most bread products do have sugar — it’s what the yeast eats to make the bread rise. This is obviously intended to be a scare tactic.

I'm not in the business of recommending products or services so my answer is no. However, I don't see any reason someone cannot enjoy a burger from time to time if they want.
