Alex Honnold climbs El Sendero Luminoso without safety net

(1:36) January 15, 2014: American rock climber Alex Honnold becomes the first person to free solo the 1500 ft vertical cliff called El Sendero Luminoso in Mexico. It is rated at 5.12d on the Yosemite Decimal System, which means the surface is as smooth as glass and vertical. The scale only goes up to 5.13.
