How about giving the kid some time to grow up? FGS... He is only 9 years old and incredibally intelligent. Social graces will come with time!

So increduibally intelligent that he has been swayed by his mother to hold onto emotional activities over his love of science. We already have enough machines, we need more emotion? LOL. A true womans words if ever I heard them.

Really? That is how you see him. It is a wonder any kid can flourish in this world with such negativity. I don't know the kid. I wish him the best, He will more than likely be successfull in one field or another because of his intelligence. Other than that... Why knock him? He seems happy, Why the critisism?

It wasn't initended to be criticism, or to knock him or to be negative. I don't choose negative or positive, I just say what I see. The truth doesn't care for positive nor negative, only detractors of truth do (I'm not refering to you, it's just your opinion and that is fine). You can paint it up as an attack if you wish. I saw a young man in love with science but with an opinion completely against machines yet he uses a machine to play music. His logic is not so smart as he believes he is. Perhaps he should spend more time reading books and not listening to his mother and maybe then he may flourish into a brilliant scientist one day. If not we will have yet another spoilt, self indulgent, aloof intellectual mummy's boy (A personality disorder, none the less) with warped logic guiding their lives. Lord knows we don't need more of them in today's society.

Ok, What I see is a boy who say's he plays the piano with emotion... Which is why we will never have piano playing robots... No contradiction there. As far as his mother goes.. How on earth would you know that she alone is responsible for any part of his personality or thought process etc. It doesn't say that he does not have a father. Why blame the mother for what you believe to be a negative impact on him? He never said that he is against machines either. There is nothing warped about the logic he used. I don't get where you are coming from.

I wonder what he sounds like when he is scared. Emotion is driven by hormones and mood mainly, so perhaps it's not the mothers fault entirely, it may be in his DNA. Most people play with their brains though, but we can say it's his heart (A muscel) or his emotion (stimuli from what we perceive around us) if it makes you feel better. But it isn't the truth. Stimuli nor muscles have ever individually played any musical instrument, ever. Also, seen as how his mother is his piano teacher and he practices for at least 6 hours per day, it doesn't take a genius to understand his influences in life outside of Horowitz and Albert Einstein. Google is great, hang on this is the girl that played on Ellen Something or other. Oooooh. I was right all along. "We don't need another machine in our world." Try telling that to half of Africa who farm with their bare hands. He will grow up, mentally hopefully as well as physically because he's going to be huge.

Ok, I am not going discuss this anymore with you because I think Your viewpoint is so dismal. Why on earth would you bring bare handed farming in Africa into a discussion about a little boy who plays the piano? That is just far too heavy and unrelated for me. Lighten up a bit and just appreciate some things for what they are without analyzing them to death.

Life can be fun too.. Have a good one.

He's going to grow up thinking that anyone can do what he can do with hard work and discipline and become one of those right wingers who thinks people who hadn't "made it" are lazy OR puberty is going to hit him hard and all of his talen and inteligence is going to be consumed by hormone driven depression which will leave him wondering at 18 what went wrong , what happened to his will power and is if it's really his mother's fault.

Or maybe the thing we dont know we don't know is going to happen to.

Best of luck to him in the future, but right now he's a little prick.
