Make me beautiful

Make me beautiful

(2:50) Kansas City-based journalist Esther Honig sent an unaltered picture of herself to Photoshop experts in more than 25 countries and asked them to "make me beautiful". Her project, entitled "Before & After," illustrates how ideals of beauty vary between cultures.

I notice there aren't any entries from countries who demand women wear a Burka !

Great Project. I did not know, Photoshop skills vary that much across the globe. I'll pick me next offshoring partner accordingly.

Notice they removed the US one. Google the project - it's disturbingly altered.

Are you kidding me?! It looks like a completly different person! There's two versions for the US, perhaps you're only seeing the big hair one - (although that's also pretty terrible) you can see it here LINK

The USA one is not altered any more than any of the others. If you are thinking it's because of the hair altering, that was done for others too, like the Philippines.

The Philippines (13) is by far the most altered, but the USA (20) comes in a close second. It's not just the hair, it's also the slimming and squaring of the face, altering her eyes, mouth, nose, and adding a ton of make up. Contrast with Vietnam (18), where the Photoshop artist has done little more than remove skin blemishes. The UK (16) is also heavily altered.
