Is war over?

Is war over?

(5:46) Believe it or not, we live in the most peaceful time in human history, even though the population is the highest it has ever been. The numbers prove it.

If only this were true. Totally at odds with what we have seen in the last 20 years.

No mention of USA attacking nations to steal resources;
Deftly ignores periods where USA/NATO were involved; No mention of nuclear deterrent;
No mention of a new form of destroying countries by overthrowing regimes using surreptitious revolutions sponsored by foreign governments;
No mention of deaths caused by illegal sanctions and corporations driving vast swathes of people into poverty and "natural deaths"

Wars have changed. It's now a war between haves and have nots, the 1% Vs the 99%.

"A 'piecemeal' World War III may have already begun with the current spate of crimes, massacres and destruction"
Pope Francis
(2014)

Redefine what is "war". None so blind as those who will not see.

“No mention of USA attacking nations to steal resources” You’re one of those people that think we went to Iraq for their oil aren’t you? I mean, there couldn’t possibly be any other reasons the international community agreed to invade Iraq other than steal their resources, right? The same thing with Vietnam and Korea. We wanted all their resources. Suppose we entered WWII because we wanted Japan’s oil too. Glad we did because we couldn’t survive as a nation without all that precious oil we get from Japan.

Yes, America is hungry for oil just like most of the large industrialized nations. That does not mean we steal the oil from other countries nor does it mean that we purposely go to war for the purpose of getting the oil for free or anything like that.

Example? If you're referring to Iraq as your only example, we invaded because we had bad Intel about weapons of mass destruction. The USA was not the only country in that war either. The UK joined us and they assisted with the bad intelligence. We never received a drop of oil from Iraq after the war until recently and we pay for it just like any country that receives the oil and the money goes to the Iraqi people (unless it's the specific oil being sold by ISIS currently but that's a different issue).

I will makes the assumption that since you could not provide a valid example that you admit to making a mistake in your previous comment and you are now admitting that I was right and we do not attack other countries to get their resources.

and that would be an assumtion you don't actually make but just put in writing to try and manipulate a response that will continue a redundant discussion, which is basically a lie: saying you are making an assumption when you don't actually make it, which enforces my previous statement about you.
