I think it's wrong to direct your business for tax reasons...

We don’t have any plans to do that [move tax domicile]. I think it's wrong to direct your business for tax reasons. Your business should be where you can do it best. British inventor and founder of the Dyson company, James Dyson in 2008.
November 2014: Documents reveal that Dyson is involved in a complex web of tax avoidance. http://goo.gl/7mYSyb

And here we go again, blaming those evil business men when in fact it is govt. spending that is the problem, everywhere! Case in point, America has had record tax revenues recently yet the debt continues to rise. Do you really think if everybody paid their taxes then the average tax would go down? Come on get real, all that would happen is the politicians would find more ways to spend more on getting elected! It's not businesses, that create jobs, it's govt! Look what's happening in Brussels at the moment, quote from Zero Hedge piece...

The bottom line is that Europe's citizens are being cheated of the benefits of ultra-low interest rates repressed by the ECB that enables their inglorious leaders to issue debt at will and increase the nation's burdens, by a bureaucratic layer of embezzlement that has been going on - in size - for decades.

So you're happy for your govt. to spend way more that it could ever get in taxes, effectively putting your children and grandchildren under much higher taxes and lower standing of living than you enjoy now? Your happy your govt. spends your taxes on irrelevant wars, killing innocent people and your own countrymen in the process, propping up dictators, spying on you, bailing out corrupt banks etc. ? And I'm the dumb twat? Look in the mirror next time you write that.

""So you're happy for your govt. to spend way more that it could ever get in taxes"" there are also state/government bonds that governments can issue to create pulbicly owned corporatons (statoil model) who's mandata is to enrich the people of the nation.

""effectively putting your children and grandchildren under much higher taxes and lower standing of living than you enjoy now"" right winf policies did that. Thank you thatcher, thank you Ronald.

""Your happy your govt. spends your taxes on irrelevant wars"" yes, otherwise AMERICA, UK or RUSSIA will fu*k up my country, we have to fu*king side with one of the demons otherwise all demons will rape my country (just like prison, be someone's bitch so you won't be everyone's bitch). The irelevant wars are started by the UK & US elites (not the government) and they are not irelevant from a purely right wing economics point of view. Thank you Milton!

""killing innocent people and your own countrymen in the process, propping up dictators, spying on you, bailing out corrupt banks"" don't you love those fu*king right wing elites that elect our government and have us fight each other? they are genius aren't they?

"" And I'm the dumb twat? "" yes you are. And you are also a dumb CU*T!!

""Look in the mirror next time you write that. "" i just did and i look FABULOUS honey!

Governemnts are suppose to be elected by the people for the poeple. This was never the case in a representative democracy. The Representative democracy system was put in place by the elites for the elites hundreds of years ago, under the pretext that it's by the people for the people! yeah right.

You should pull your head out of your ass and see that "government" and "democracy" are tools for politics and politicians. Politics is just an extension of economics. Economics in today's world, is right wing. Fu*k the poor, money talks.

So you just argued my whole point you imbecile! And where's your proof that "the elite" start wars and not the govt.? Even if "they" exist I've never seen them come out and declare war you stupid C&$nt! At the most they supply Govt. with the means to wage war. It's the likes of Bush, Clinton, Obama etc. that decide to bomb Serbia, Libya, Iraq etc. You f&ck wit! In the end you agree that govt. IS the problem so why should we encourage them? You have to be the stupidest, dumbest, most ignorant, co$ksucker on this site.

OK, let's look at it another way. If you have a son, and your son makes it in life, did he make it on his own?

Of course, a part of his success is his doing, but a significant part is your doing - you educated your son, guided him, supported him through hard times, encouraged him when he needed a good kicking, kept him in good health etc.

If your son turned round one day and said he didn't want to help his son... you'd be pretty peeved wouldn't you? You helped your son make it in life, but he doesn't appreciate that, and argues that he made it on his own, all his money is because of his hard work and smartness, and his son can go and make it on his own.

Now apply that to a business. Like your son, no business made it on its own. Their staff have been educated, trained to a certain level, and kept in reasonable health. Infrastructure is created so that businesses can thrive. An enormously expensive military protects business interests around the world. Police forces keep robbers out of your shop. The list goes on and on, and it's very expensive - and crucially, it's paid for from taxes.

You don't appreciate how much tax money helps a business to success. All people are asking for, is that businesses pay their fair share of taxes, so that the "American Dream" can continue.

Tax avoidance is about trying to pay the least you can, and like your son, that is a bad attitude.

hmm... Interesting you should use the Govt. as a father figure analogy, I expected you thought as such. Tell me Walter are you employed by the govt. , surely not self employed! As you should know by now I'm for limited govt. That includes law and order...the military, police, firemen etc. on the other hand are debatable, the market could and would provide these services were they necessary. I would put to you such a system would work better than today where policemen, with the full force of the govt. behind them, seem above the law themselves, that is the problem, again, with power. Now, hardly anyone would argue we have to pay for such services when necessary but 40-50% or more and rising all the time is ridiculous. Especially when you think of the waste, fraud and misuse of those tax dollars, as exhibited by most if not all govt. today. Domestic spying, wars, promises that can't be kept in return for votes, etc. means we are paying way too much in taxes and govt. Is spending way too much. When your father is living off you and spends more than you can earn what do you do then, blame the next door neighbor for not paying more, not working hard enough? No, Walter, the problem is not that people don't pay enough taxes, they pay more than they ever have, the problem Is clearly govt. spends far too much.

I find it amazing that you call someone else "dumb as a bucket of pig Sh!t" considering what you just wrote: " Somalia is a result of govt. greed, power and corruption and no rule of law, about as far away from libertarian principals as you could get... " Really?

Let's see. Laws are created by government, and libertarians want less government. So Somalia's "no laws" is not a far fetched consequence of a libertarian utopia.

" Somalia is a result of govt. greed, power and corruption ". You're probably right, but so is the US, and on a massive scale. What libertarians always forget is that corruption in government is from corporations, who are following core libertarian ideals of "I'm OK, fu*k everyone else". Which was fine in the Middle Ages, because there were always new pastures to exploit when things messed up. But you can't do that on an overcrowded globalised planet, which is the reality today.

In a nutshell, corporations want to control government because that is where laws are made. And most laws, at least the important ones, are about protecting one group of people from being exploited by another group in some way. Remove the laws and corporations can expoit without interference.

Until we complete our evolution from ape to civilised human being, we will need laws to control the powerful.

That is why the libertarian mantra of "small government" not only shows the inability to understand what's going on, but it's also really dangerous because it is shifting power from government (which is supposed to work in the interest of the people) to corporations who don't give a shit about anything except their yachts.

It always comes back to the same conclusion - Get the money out of politics.

I suggest you know full well that one of the main tenets of libertarianism is the rule of law and the rights of others. To suggest otherwise means you are ill informed to even comment on what libertarianism is or isn't, OR you are deliberately distorting the facts to conform with your biased views. Who said anything about removing the basic laws of the land that were formed to protect the individual from the very processes you say you hate but which your govt. applies arbitrarily? So how has your liberal, BIG Obama govt. worked out Walter, with all the excess laws and rules like asset forfeiture, like the just released piece by Matt Tiabi on the Obama admin. relation to Wall Street and why no one is ever sent to jail! do you see any sign of your govt. sticking up for the little guy? The inability to see what's going on, and has been going on, is in your court Walter, Govt. is as big and as powerful as it has ever been and it has accompanied the biggest loss of personal rights and freedoms we have ever seen. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely is all you have to know. Observed by people far smarter and worldly than you. The same argument of bigger stronger govt. and more taxes is what you've had for decades now, it doesn't work. Power corrupts , it's as simple as that.
