Jet fighters to launch satellites cheaper than ever

(2:31) ALASA (Airborne Launch Assist Space Access) is a DARPA program to develop the ability to launch small (100-pound) satellites into low Earth orbit using a standard jet fighter as the launching platform. The program could one day could allow affordable, routine, and reliable access to space.
