Easy enough to the calculation: 100 / 7 = 14 remainder 2 so add 2 days past Monday to get Wednesday. But doing it under pressure on national tv - that's not so easy!

50 years on the planet so far and I've not needed to know that. I don't see it becoming valuable for the following years either.

Don't be too cosy in your ignorance. You don't need to know or understand that simple calculation because others do understand it and they write the software that makes your life easy. You don't need to understand maths just like you don't need to understand civil engineering, medicine, politics, or what happens when you flush your toilet.
