Cult of Dusty - Why libertarians are idiots

(7:06) People are terrible selfish assholes who will do whatever they can to get one up on their fellow man, and that's why we need more regulation, not less. That's according to Dusty Smith. youtube.com/user/CultOfDusty

The cynic in me has to respond to the cynic in him with some simple questions: Q: Who does the regulating? A: Well, politicians of course. Q: Who chooses them? A: The public. Q: The same idiots you just spent so long ranting about them not being able to choose the right thing to do? A: They aren't the same people. Q: Get back to me when you've made up your mind. A: That's not question. Q: What was your first clue? A: STFU

All three branches of our government are infested with corporate puppets who do not represent the interests of the voters who elect them based on false appeals to religious conservatism.

Not all 3 branches are elected. The judicial branch has their members appointed (nominated) by the President.

You may want to check out this chart before implying that nominees to the Supreme Court do not reflect the political biases of the presidents we elected to nominate them.

Can't speak for disfunctional link but if you use Chrome to Google, "liberal versus conservative supreme court justices", the very top link at the New York Times has a cool graphic with face pics on a spectrum chart with the article below. The Bush and Regan nominees are bunched to the right. The Clinton nominees are bunched to the left.

Excellent arguments would be even more compelling to a wider audience without F bombs.
