(5:44) Burt Bacharach and Hal David wanted the theme for the 1966 movie "Alfie", to be recorded by Dionne Warwick, but Paramount felt the film's setting demanded the song be recorded by a UK singer. An invitation was made to Sandie Shaw, who declined it, and then offered to Cilla Black who already had a UK #1 with the Bacharach/David song "Anyone Who Had A Heart".
