Obama is probably doing his job governing the country. What did you expect Obama to do that the police is unable to do? Those people have been asked to leave and they refuse. They are trespassing on private land and setting fire to equipment. The police are using "less-than-lethal&qu ot; methods in an attempt to disburse the crowd but they still remain.

Maybe Obama should declare a state of emergency so the military can go in and force those people back home with more force.

It's not acceptable to use tear gas and rubber bullets against peaceful protesters. Obama should spend less time shopping for new houses and do a better job at governing the police force.

You call them peaceful but you wouldn't think that if thousands of people mobbed to your house and set fire to your car and made it difficult for you to go in and out of your own property.

It's not a house. It's the earth, our mother, and the oil companies are happy to suck its blood for their own profit and spill that blood on the soil and the water, poisoning us all. The government exists to protect the people, not the oil companies...remember that bit about "the common welfare"?

It's not a house but it is private property. Those people you call peaceful are preventing people from working and the people that own the land from doing what they want on their land. The police are there to help protect the landowner. I certainly hope they are also there if a similar mob comes to my property too.

Whatever you're saying about sucking blood is a bad analogy. It means and has nothing to do with this situation. If those protesters think we should ban all oil use, they should hire lobbyists and have a bill created and let that go through congress. Ther'es a right way and wrong way to deal with things and these demonstrators are going about it the wrong way.

Screw that; they should rise up in righteous indignation right bloody now, before its too late...if it's not already. Shove your lobbyists and politicians, particularly the ones that deny science....they can only waste precious time. Arise!

Not a problem if the public wants to arise and fight but then don't complain if you get mace in the eyes, tear gassed, rubber bullets in the head, and hypothermia because they splash cold water on you. Boo Hoo. I have no sympathy for law breakers. I don't care what they are fighting for. If they don't agree with the law, they can call their representatives and ask that it be changed. If the majority agree, it will be changed.
