and the one that didnt crash, the green van at the start, notice his wheels were turning, so he managed to steer out of it, everyone else, foot hard on brake, so no control at all

Actually he was the only one with front wheel drive so he had the traction to pull the car to a grippier piece of road. I suspect all the vehicles had ABS; it just doesn't work on ice. Still good driving to avoid the melee.

Probably ice that was the problem, not 1" of snow.

That's heartening. I thought it was only we Brits who were surprised and caught out by yearly phenomena: leaves on the line in Autumn; half an inch of snow in Winter producing gridlock - that kind of thing.

Well Brits very rarely have to deal with that kind of weather to be fair. Its hardly surprising they are taken unawares.

Canadians have plenty of warning. Just shows what a circus they run up there.

haha only in canada can they be surprised by ice. its winter, we live like 1500miles from the freakin artic circle but OMG theres ICE here?? lets all drive like retards.
