I had a similar coincidence occur to me. I gave someone a business card at one of the 7,000 of our business locations and then I moved 4,693 miles away to work at a different one of the other 7,000 locations. It may be the furthest two locations on the planet or at least close to it.

The client came into my new location and presented me with my own business card. He didn't recognize me and I didn't recognize him but the card was clearly mine with my name and address of the first location on it.

One in a thousand year records get set every year when you have 100 thousand such records. Simple idea, but goodness me, but some people will never get it.

Too much science for me. Can you explain why it's not 1,000 thousand records?

It's just an estimate Bob, but think about it, 1000's of weather stations and for every station 100's of potential all time records for that station hourly/daily/weekly/month ly etc. If you spend enough time you are bound to find a statistical anomaly somewhere, and of course it's all unpwecedented.
