Wikileaks reveals CIA can mask hacks as work of foreign hackers

(6:54) WikiLeaks' latest batch of Vault 7 releases, called 'Marble', details CIA hacking tactics and how they can hamper investigators from attributing viruses, trojans and hacking attacks to the agency. The tool was in use as recently as 2016.

You've got to admire the way liberals carefully find reasons to reject information that could force them to reconsider.

What a classic example of the libtard memory hole in action

O'brien would've have been proud.

To me , this isn't new info, this is exactly how decent security services operate, misinforming is part of the game.

What's the narrative in your opinion? In order to manufacture a link between Trump and Putin,The CIA hacked the DNC servers and framed the Russians? What about the letter from Comey to the Congress damaging Clinton's campaign just before the election? Is one agency pro-Clinton and the other agency pro-Trump?

Or maybe there wasn't a hack by the intelligence services, more than likely it was an inside job, however part of the art of the security services is to cover your tracks. Making it look like someone else is as old as the hills

Btw the DNC and Podesta didn't exactly have secure systems. Setting your password as "password" is simple stupidity.

This post-truth troll needs to vary his strategy.

Desperately trying to start arguments which he then loses gets a little dull.

Post-truth, proudly brought to you by the Soviet Union and its successor - the new Soviet empire and its emperor-for-life since the early 20th century. They must be coming up to a Centenary of propaganda and misery - forgive me if I don't wave a red flag and celebrate the "will of the people",

You've got to admire the left, when they invent an "eastacia" they milk it for all it's worth. This current obsession with " evil " Russia makes McCarthy's era look same.

For the record, I don't think most people with an education need a "spellcheck" to correctly use full stops and question marks.

Just saying.

Brought to you by Russia Today - the mouthpiece of Vlad the Bad and modern-day Pravda. RT - the proud provider of "alternative fact" explanations of Alexander Litvinenko's poisoning, the downing of flight MH17, the killings of Anna Politkovskaya, Boris Nemtsov and Denis Voronenkov.

The tactic of Russia Today is to say "there are so many explanations, it's so complex, who can really know what happened?" They do that with everything - to give apparent equivalent weight to outlandish and counter-factual interpretations so everyone doubts everything, so that they can fill the void with their own nonsense. How very 1984.

Why are you shooting the messenger? RT are simply reporting on the latest Vault 7 Wikileaks release about Marble, quite an important story itself I'm sure you'll agree. And Wikileaks have a 100% record for releasing authentic documents.

I'm not sure what to think of RT. I hear plenty of criticisms of the sort you make, but I don't see it. Chris Hedges, a Pulitzer Prize journalist who I hugely respect, has a show on RT called On Contact. So has Larry Kng. And Ed Schultz. Noam Chomsky often appears on RT, and many other perfectly "respectable" commentators. So if RT is good enough for them, then why not for BoreMe.

I'm not sure participation in RT says more about RT thank those individuals you refer to.

Look for the money. And take a look at the government funding RT and ask yourself why it decides to establish a broadcaster aimed at other countries. Or, simply look at RT's agenda:

Learn to present arguments in your own words. Posting links just shows the world whose broomstick is shoved up your arse and operating your gob.

Oh and look up churnalism, despite the multitude I suspect all these articles have their roots in one source. Journalism is so shit nowadays, nobody has the time to research and write their own stuff, they just regurgitate what others have said.

But Rational wiki ??????

Have a nice day ya retard.

You are an aggressive and offensive person, so not someone i will care about. I prefer people who are curious and thought pricing rather than provocative

As a social scientist, i find it interesting how hostile and emotional people can get when they hide behind anonymity. It tells us a lot about human nature, and the disadvantages of online discussions.

Take care.

Like RT's claim that 9/11 was an inside job?

Like RT's attempts to make Syria's Assad look good?

Like RT's reporting on MH17?

Like RT's strongly biased reporting in favour of Trump?

(to name a few examples of "alternative facts" and interesting alternative vviews).

At least the don't put a bullet in the back of their head outside the Premier Palace hotel in Kiev, or a bullet in the back on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge, or polonium in their tea at the Millennium in Mayfair.

If you live in the West, be grateful that your political opponents usually only attack you with words (the late and greatly missed Jo Cox being a tragic - and fortunately rare - exception). Vladimir Putin doesn't have the same inhibitions.

Russia has been clandestinely funding far right and divisive nationalistic groups for a long time now. They were fully behind Scottish independence (and its consequential secession from NATO and the EU), Trump and Brexit. They are also backing (and funding) groups like Marine Le Pen's Front National (who, like Trump, has promised to lift sanctions on Russia). Naturally, having been caught with their pants down, they are using Russia Today, Putin's propaganda organ, to deflect attention from their political interference abroad.
