Science is real, whether you believe it or not. Just go back to your little fairy tale book that speaks of a big man in the sky watching over all of us.

Clearly an excellent, mature and deep understanding of world religions. I expect you understand science just as thoroughly.

What I do understand is that the world can survive without religion but it cannot survive without science.

What does it even mean to survive without science? If you mean survive without our modern understanding of science then you're wrong because humanity got this far with very limited understanding. Like it or not religion has been a part of humanity far longer than modern science and recent research proves it reflects something about the human brain.

Science has brought us great weapons that can destroy the entire planet many times over and men who follow no religous commandments have already killed millions and continue to decimate Earths' inhabitants. Extremes of any theology phylosophy or 'science' is harnful. "It" is not harmful until "It" is abused!

Our leaders- currently financial gamblers and pet politicians- thrive by ignoring or concealing contrary facts. Clear critical thought ("Why do they get to dump toxins in my food and air, send my kids to fight stupid wars, wreck complex life-sustaining systems, ruin lives, just so they can play king?") is a threat. No tyrant ever encouraged peasants to think.
