District B13 (2004) - David Belle chase scene|

This is from a french film called Banlieue 13 (district 13). That guy is called david belle and he is one of the main people in a sport called parkour.He didn't use any effects or ropes and what you see he is able to do in real life. Lots of people know about freerunnig, well parkour is sort of like it but with no flips and alot more efficiency

It clearly shows him using a rope and in 2:50-3:00 you can see a cameraman/person hiding below the railing. It was a nice ass mini though. Great shots and the dood is pretty freaking awesome at parkour. I would've just shot his crazy bouncing around ass. lol

Parkour is all about efficiency. as stated above.
I suppose you could almost say there's a continuum. On one end of the spectrum we have tricking (all about the flips), the other end is parkour, and free-running sits in the middle.

This was rather contrived, I saw the movie and thought it was silly. It doesn't seem realistic even out of context. But if your into free running this is your movie.

Typical stupid plot line in a movie. He is so fit, fast, and skilled and yet the goons chasing him catch up with him all the time. Does he run in in circles around the goons to give them a chance? Maybe if he stopped jumping back onto the floor the goons are on he could of got away faster.

2nd: Stupid-Show-Off-shit that will get your ankles broken at about a dozen points throughout this performance. More realistic than most movies (cause I know, I know it is all real) but seriously even if all these guys were in great health (20's, fit etc) this is a whole soup of injuries
