Science cannot disprove God. (I say that as a scientist and as an atheist).

For many of us, believing in a God seems rather odd given what we now know. Others, including Einstein in a letter to a friend, have taken a middle position where nature and God are one (a position proposed by Spinoza, possibly to disguise his own atheist philosophy when one was still not allowed to openly admit one was an atheist). Then there are others, even among scientists, who believe in a God in a more traditional sense.

In a very strict sense, science hardly proves anything, but that's not very relevant here. But science certainly cannot prove the universal absense of a thing/concept. Generally speaking, how do you disprove the existence of something? Please give me an proof that unicorns do not exist.

Disproved religion, nope.  I know for a fact that religion exists.

Very true!

I don't even know how one could go about disproving a religion.  It's like trying to disprove yoga.

At best, you could attempt to disprove literal interpretations of specific religious beliefs, but that's nothing like as strong.

A touch of click-bait, methinks.

Science hasn't disproven religion, it explains religion.
