May 2006 - Guy Kewney, a white, bearded technology expert was astonished to see himself appear on screen as a black man with an apparent French accent.

The BBC were interviewing "Experts" on the Apple Corps vs Apple Computers legal case. The producer mistakenly ushered Guy Goma to the News 24 studio after hearing his first name but perhaps believing "Kewney" to be a mispronunciation of his last name, Goma. A mic was attached and he was put live in the studio to answer questions.

In fact, Guy Goma was a business studies graduate from Congo-Brazzaville waiting for a job interview.

Has it ever happened to you?

What a nice guy, he actually tries really hard! My brother and I were in London and we had just bought us some new shirts, when we went to McD's. We were pretty good looking and all of a sudden a huge crowd of girls walk up to our table and start asking whether we were famous and wanted to take pictures and so on! Some of them were pretty cute so of course we didn't mind. But we are not famous.

It was 1977 or '78. I was a youngster standing in front of the Beverly Hilton when a limo driver walked up and asked if I was Andy Gibbs. Now, there was zero resemblance or connection between the Bee Gees family and mine, but I did like the limo. Apparently Mr. Gibbs was due to appear on Soul Train, which at the time was taped on the east side of Hollywood, on a sound lot. So I jumped in, took the ride over, and just as we approached the gate, I casually stated I wished to say hello to fans waiting in line, and jumped out. I walked home, about a mile from the studio. It was a beautiful day!

Guy Goma is lovely, I heard he's getting tv and film offers now!!! :-) good luck to him. To be fair on the presenter tho, I work at the BBC and presenters have about 10 people talking in their ear at one time, so it's not her fault, someone in the gallery should have picked up on it lol.

This guy (!!) should be the next Director General of the BBC. A charming man who after the initial shock took full command of the situation.

I have a twin brother. One day I was driving my car through the city and stopped at a pedestrian crossing to allow people to cross the road. At an instance a nice looking girl gave me a smile, came to my car, opened the door, sat in the front seat then gave me a kiss on my cheek. I said hi and started driving away. I realized that I had to say something. I told her that I am Tim and that anyway I'll pass on her hello to Tom. At that moment she was so astonished that she opened the door while the car was driving. I stopped and said goodbye and wished that something like that does not occur with my girlfriend.

I have never been mistaken for anyone famous but... in the city where I lived was a small but very very good eating establishment that mainly catered to the Jewish community. I loved their food and every time I went in I was always seated quickly and I always got huge servings of food. After about 6 months of eating there about twice a month I was approached by the owner and asked how my father was. Well my dad died 5 years earlier and I told him so. He asked, "aren't you Nate Greenberg?" I told him my true name. The next time I went in I waited 30 minutes and got the smallest meal I ever paid for. I never went back.

The motocross clip is amazing. You can see the guy comes off the bike, he reaches for the handle bars, can't reach, panicking a little he reaches for the seat. Can't reach! Panicking a lot, he tries to fly, flapping his arms and legs in the hope that he'll be able to create enough lift to prevent him smacking into the ground. NO chance.
