Intelligent young lady, I'm happy that at least some people in this world think for themselves and stand up for their beliefs.

Maybe old W Bush should invade middle america to get rid of the religious extremists that reside there? oh, no he's one of them!! So all those 'terrorist locations he's invaded to unseat any religious based 'terrorist' groups, have just been replaced by his own religious based terror inducing troops! Somehow i don't think that replacing one evil for another will help much

I grew up a atheist my mom was a psychic when i went to school i cried everyday, kids were harsh, mom home schooled me because i couldn't take it anymore. I've been in home school since. We moved but i still fear that it will happen again, even worse because my mother is gay now.

I'm a Christian, and I won't lie-much respect to this girl for showing respect to these people. And of course they go and get offended by it. Hypocrisy is everywhere. In all religions and lack thereof.

As always, the religious reich has no respect for the low, the rights of others, or even human decency. Humanity will never be free until the black yoke of religion is lifted by the clear light of truth and rational thinking.

As a Christian I am saddened that other Christians are still making peopl efeel bad for the choices they make in life. God, the creator we believe in and follow gave us free will so why do so many that follow his teachings struggle do the same. Good on you girl for fighting to give your own life and shame on those who seek to belittle you for it. i follow a GOd that I believe made us but gave us choices and you can make yours. I'm sorry that those claiming to walk the same path I do made you feel bad. you are your own woman, go be it in all you chose to de.

no I'm not an american I just happened to be born here and have been waiting 19 years to leave. Also thank god for the decided lack of proof of a god since I would hate to have to believe in such a twisted belief.

I don't understand why the pastor says, "It's still a free country and our young people are standing up for their faith," as if he's defending the practice of praying after games. There was no indication in this report that this family made any effort to get the prayers stopped. The girl simply chose not to participate in them. Seems like paranoia and a complete lack of understanding on the pastor's part.

The people in that town are perfect examples of the smug arrogance of christians. They are evil, intolerant disgusting people. I hope they lose the lawsuit and have to pay huge compensation. I mean enough to bankrupt the entire town, the school district and everyone in it.

I don't think it matters whether you're atheist, agnostic or religious - No fair minded person would sanction such vile behaviour as the school and town apparently have meted out to that girl. But by objective standards I don't think they're anymore in accord with their claimed Christian values than someone who blows up kids in the name of a religion. They're just scum.

We should have evolved way past legends and mythical creatures. Let us use our logic and reason and live life not in servitude to a fairy tale creature but taking in our surroundings and living life the way it should be lived.

What happened to that girl was wrong. Christians are supposed to love everyone unconditionally, even if they don't agree with other's beliefs. There are many people that call themselves Christians that don't actually live the way they are supposed to. At the same time, there are Christians that don't judge others and do live their lives as they should. So not all Christians should be given a bad name because of the select people that are hypocrites.

I am an atheist, and I do believe that people should be able to have faith, for some people it is all that they have. That is one side of my thought. (the open minded part) The other side is kind of scared of what religion is capable of. I agree with the man in the video that it restricts free thought and in my opinion brain washes people. I feel that religion is the root of many of the worlds problems.
