I think in these desperate time many people look for anything to ease the burden of reality as they see it. Some people will watch this and join the Zeitgeist movement as another form of religion. If it makes you a better person go for it, but be brutally honest with yourself and ask if it makes you a better person in time. God is God and I don't think there is a wrong way to connect with him.

the date december wasn't the name the egyptians and other historical tribes gave to the birth of their deity, it just so happens that our version of the calendar happens to put the december 25th date on the day where the stars line to the solar locale, which is when the ancient people claimed their deity to be born, the religious references are 100% true, I am a professor of theology and have hit on the religious myths the Zeitgeist goes into detail about, much more detail then I could have

That is quite scary really, though there is still the problem that Jesus wasn't "really" born then anyhows, but the other similarities are still quite astonishing.

actually pretty cool.i find it interesting that the entire history of the world is based around jesus though.2000bc 2000ad etc.if all these others had virtually the same circumstances how come ive never heard of a single one.also people who dont beleive in religion still use this timeline and then say the bible is a load of rubbish which cant be proved.yet everyone uses jesus christs death to tell what the date is.if the bible is so wrong i wonder why the world uses it as historical reference.

I watched the full 1 hour and 56 min film - its opened my eyes to an awful lot of stuff - there may be one or two errors but the whole gist of this film is to point out major errors made in this world - dont just take it as a hit out on christianity - part 2 & 3 more of an eye opener............

I watched it. Researched the facts and found this:the movies last 30 mins which explains where corporations are going with the great deception is basically the Book of Revelation. His whole point of what the end of this is coming to is basically what the bible has described the end of the world to be. Zeitgeist obviously didn't do their homework. They agreed and proved bible's legitamacy while trying to debunked it. Hilarious really. But don't believe me, research it for yourself.

The full Zeitgeist film is the closest thing to "ultimate truth" I've ever seen, but it's really no surprise that the most powerful men on earth want to consolidate their empire. They might even believe they have the best of intentions for future development of our species. The problem is, we are animals - however highly evolved - and will not willingly surrender self-determination. We need a certain amount of social chaos and personal freedom to thrive. Some of us even need to break the rules and get away with it from time to time to maintain sanity in the face of irrational laws. Ultimately, I don't want big brother to decide for me what it is to be human. Do you?

Latest comment: Horus is known to be the God of Wind, and he has nothing to do with the sun. Horus's mother was Isis, and hos father was Osiris, so i don't see how he could be born from a virgin. These are some errors in Zeitgeist. This movie has some interesting points of view, but it's also trying to manipulate the viewers and has agressive methods in doing it, and I'm sorry for those who got easily manipulated by the movie.

OK this vid IS really eye opening and i'd say 85% of it sounds like truth to me, but If i'm not mistaken...The Egyptians did not have calendars, therefore how was it known that Horus was born Dec 25 when Egyptians did not even know what December was. I may be wrong, but Romans were the inventors of that month, which means that the chances of Egyptians choosing that date as their saviors birth would be 1 in 365....

true, since it was the romans who came up with the calender we use today (julian i think); and the 'hours' from 'horus' bit doesn't work, as a) It would more likely be the singular hour b) the hour we use is in our romanisized language, something the egyptians also didn't speak :)

Well, the original Jesus Christ story was heavily modified to be more appealing to the pagan masses who were expected to adopt the religion, so it's difficult to say how many similarities the original story had to previous myths, and how many points were altered specifically to match those myths. But it is a compelling idea.

People that have lived their life by this book have a real hard time opening their eyes. They will dispute it to the end, but this is a new age an age of knowlege and people should take the time to see how the world really works.

regardless of the accuracy of the 'facts' or details given in the video. The final question of why can't one person express their opinion when it is in contrast or differs from the 'majority' is far more interesting! If Newton never thought outside the box, we'd never have ventured into space for example. So why can't we express our thoughts freely? If your answer is that we might 'offend' someone, has any consideration been given that the person who might be offended has already committed an offense in the declaration of their ideas! It's worth thinking about!

I also noticed the discrepancy of Jesus's birth date. It is believed that he was actually born during the summer months. Also the word "virgin" did not mean someone who lacked experience. It originally meant a woman who was complete within herself.

Firstly, I don't believe in God, so everything that people used to call miracles, I call them as something that humans yet can't explain. Secondly, I don't believe in God because of religions, the way they always can't explain anything, but claim to know everything. About this clip, Why The Hell are you repeating the name of Horus if you are showing the image of Amon-Ra.
