All cat lovers know about this, but certainly not using a bulldog clip. Inventive but unnecessary if you have another pair of hands to help to control your cat.

That's a big "if" there :) I'll be trying this when I get home, though with a very weak bulldog clip to start with. Reading the comments on the youchoob clip it's astounding how many ignorant people label this as "cruel". Clearly they've never seen a vet struggle to get a needle though that ultra-tough fatty skin :D

Usually, the owner is in with the vet. I usually help the vet when our cats needed an injection. That's all I'm saying.

I tried this last night. First I tried the clip on my fingers to see just how tight it was; and then I put it on my cat. It seemed to have no effect - she was not bothered, she did not try to get it off, and her behaviour did not change noticeably. I tried laying her down, and she just got up again. I took it off and she did not react. Is the exact position critical? Your meowlage may vary?

Well I tried it for real when I had to tease out some matted hair from her legs. I ended up (as usual) with scratched hands and blood - my precious bodily fluid - everywhere. Worst of all, somehow she had transferred the clip onto me. Still, I got the hair lump off her. You'd think she would be grateful.

Mother cats don't do that! Without opposable thumbs they can't open the clip.

i would strongly advice against this , that clip exerts a very high pressure enough to damage.

No. The only thing that works on politicians is Murdoch and his empire.

I'll try to remember that, should I ever be faced with a tiger. I'm sure the bystanders will be mighty impressed.
