The promise of Kepler 22B

The promise of Kepler 22B

(6:17) On December 5, 2011, the Kepler science team confirmed the existence of the most Earth-like planet so far discovered, orbiting a star not dissimilar to our sun, a mere 600 light years away. There is so much we don't know about Kepler 22B that whether or not there's life on board is pure speculation. What's more significant is how quickly 'habitable' planets are being found by the Kepler Space Telescope, Kepler 22B being the first that is confirmed.
