Worst Fox News anti-atheist spin of the year?

Worst Fox News anti-atheist spin of the year?

Fox News attacked supposed critics of outspoken Christian American footballer Tim Tebow. The critics, all unnamed, are supposed to argue that Tebow's loss of form proves that god doesn't exist. Conservative comedian Brad Stine put forward his own theory placing the blame on atheist Kim Jong Il - great comedy, only it wasn't meant to be funny. Not sure whether to weep with laughter, disbelief or embarrassment for the human race.

Latest comment: I really couldn't give a flying feck what Fox say's. Are the right thinking members of the human race so upset that they feel they need to attack us and then accuse us of attacking them? Why not just them them spout utter sheite and fecking ignore them? After all they are all going to be so fecking disappointed when they realise there are no gates never mind fecking pearly ones!

Oh, come on, as an atheist, I really hope we don't become this desperate to take offence at something. Tebow has something of a reputation for praying, prompting some to suggest his phenomenal success down to his religion. Following his loss, Fox's response is not inappropriately tongue in cheek "oh, come on!". Ironically it would be a great refutation of that pro-christianity argument, if not evidence for atheism itself. Brad Stein wasn't serious with his suggestion that was down to Kim Jong Il (in fact the butt of the joke was that Kim's list of sins were lengthy that god was distracted). And the not-going-to-heaven-becau se-of-atheism line should hardly be news. Not a moral reason to not go to heaven, and not a great comedian, but please, lets not play the persecution card.

Criticising Fox News' coverage of the more "serious" news stories is like criticising the Sun for not printing quality articles or the Mail for not printing unbiased reports about UK immigration... Fox News is for entertainment and little more...
