Measuring the Universe

(4:16) On June 5, 2012 Venus will begin to pass in front of the Sun, appearing as a tiny black dot in front of the solar disk. This is known as a 'transit of Venus', an event which will not occur again for another 105 years - in 2117. This video is from an exhibition at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, London, to mark the 'transit of Venus'. It is free, dates: March 1 - September 2, 2012. Exhibition details
