Scientists take Easter Island statue for a walk

(0:43) Easter Islanders say "the statues walked", and archaeologists are still trying to figure out how. Researchers Terry Hunt and Carl Lipo test a new theory that suggests the ancient Easter Islanders may have used ropes to "walk" the moai to their platforms.

I think that's more of a hypothesis than it is a theory. There could be many other methods they moved those statues and this is just one.

Latest comment: cengland0 - it may be a hypothesis, however, why is it that the rest of the world were in their relative ages and we were in the Bronze Age and the Eygptians were building complicated pyramids? Why is then that the record on the walls of the pyramids and other places show space ships and all sorts of alien prescence?

It looks like a blindfolded guy being shoved out in front of a firing squad.

Well considering the "experts" didn't realise until recently that they were not just heads, it might take a couple of decades. If they look into how they moved stones for the pyramids, they were supposed to get the right vibrations from musical instruments which levitate the stones. It occured to me that the bible (which I do not believe in religiously but only as historical record of what went on) said that the walls of Jerrico were tumbled with trumpets - maybe the same thing. This is my idea but I have not investigated it more.
