My problem with Snowden and others who leak this type of stuff, are they wise enough to truly know what is harmless information or could it affect the safety of someone in the future (be it civilian or military). I'm know I'm not smart enough to decide that. He could be taking a chance on someone else's life.

He's a hero. Snwoden has exposed an unimaginably large theft of personal data worth $trillions and the only harm caused so far has been to the diplomatic and democratic reputations of the US and UK. What is illegal or otherwise on the part of the NSA or Edward Snowden is irrelevant. He has done the world a huge service and deserves a medal, not jail.

there's a third choice: political asylum in a democratic country which is the most probable outcome. This Snowden guy is smart.

He is a hero. Let's hope that there are some democratic countries left and he can find his way to one.

A hero who has already been found guilty. He has no chance of receiving a fair trial if he returns or is returned to the USA.
