consumerist propaganda!

take risks or you'll regret it on your death bed. Keep the boom bust cycle going. There can't be winners without loosers, and we need loosers like you, but we'll tell you that you can be whatever you want when you grow up.

buy buy buy.

Plus this kid is reading from some sheet of paper.

This is a very poor attempt at emotional manipulation.

""Stop thinking and do it for you, the real you cause you deserve it""

What a load of shiet!

Regardless if you are capitalist, socialist, or communist, we are all consumers.

You say there cannot be winners without loosers (I assume you really mean losers). You’re wrong again. There are many life events where everyone that participates wins. For example, you produce a film and you have investors that pay the initial costs of the movie. Then the movie becomes a big hit. Everyone is a winner. The consumer gets to watch a nice movie at an affordable price, the investors get their money back with a profit, the theater makes a percentage off the ticket prices plus the concession. The actors got paid along with many other crew. The city that hosts the movie makes money as well. Who do you believe is the loser (or in your case, looser) here?

The team that made the movie can be considered the winning entity.

There other entities that go bankrupt. Every competing entity cannot win, most will fail. Same goes for the cinemas. Just because it all went well for a particula movie doesn't mean it's going to go well for all movies.

You said you cannot have winners without losers and I gave you an example where that is not true. So define who the loser is when there is a winning movie production.

The other guy - the screenwriter who poured his heart and soul into the screenplay that was passed over in favour of the big movie that made it. He gave it his all, went out there and did it, took his chances, and lost out all the same. Because the studio's finite pot of money couldn't stretch to realise his dream too.

or all of the actors that got rejected in favor of those who got accepted. Or the directors, or all the other staff members. All the cgi companies that could have done the special effects, etc etc.

That movie that was so succesfull made it only because people worked together... which kinda makes it a socialist ideal...

The movie that made the money did not make the screenwriter the loser. He made himself the loser by not creating a good script.

If I invent a widget and spend millions making it and nobody buys it, should I blame Microsoft because they have a product many people want?

Before you get tumescent - that wasn't your question. You asked for the loser in your hypothetical scenario. Screenwriter 2 - no matter what got him there - is the loser.
