I don't remember seeing that video before. It's well worth watching and only a few minutes long.

It was posted in September 2013, so a long time ago. If you've been around Boreme for a long time, you may have watched it but forgot due to the time that passed since then.

I like Hans' way of discussing the population and his creative use of objects to give a visual representation.

body{zoom:83%!important;} Easy math! (US quality of life about 20 percent of population or 1.4 billion people) uses about (80 percent of resources) So how many people would use 100 percent? 1.75 billion. So, with efficiency, the Earth can sustain about 2 billion people at our level of luxury- at least until the non-renewables run low or natural disasters interfere. More will live in some level of hand-to-mouth squalor and disease.

Ever drive through South Dakota or Wyoming? There's plenty of room there for a lot more people. The portion about depleted soil failing to sustain crops seems to neglect such innovations as fertilizer and crop rotation. The water in Ethiopia isn't safe enough to drink? Did they forget how to bring bad water to a boil, or have all Ethiopians died of thirst, and I missed the news reports? (In fairness, the only ones I've actually heard of are the tall fashion model and a few fellows seeming to always win the Boston Marathon) They still seem to have their sad eyed children show up on late night television with empty bowls, flies on the face, and a Sally Strothers voice over narration urging charitable giving.

Everyone. PLEASE LISTEN. THIS IS FOOLISHNESS. Designed to confuse and fear; nothing more. This is all based on the "what if" scenario. "What if an asteriod hits the earth?" "What if global warming burns us up or freezes us?" "What if we all drown because the waters rise, because the poler caps melt?". Hey Noggin guy. Please do us all a favor, if your so fired up about the population, practise what you preach, make a true statement and have the next video with you offing yourself to cure the population.

YEAAH! Everyone! don't listen to this and just carry on like nothing is happening around you. You deserve better to not know any pending dangers ahead, because it will make you feel unease and maybe makes you worry just a bit too much about this biased conscept of .. - what ever you do (or not do) in a closed system (like earth) it will make an impact on system changes. Like, would you believe this, when i put milk in my hot coffe it get colder! That shit! I hate you milk.
