My mother once told me, all great roads lead to Sheba. Anyone know where this road is? I might just go for a wander.

That's a technique they use in the UK to re-surface some roads. It'll last for a few years but they have to mask off all the grids and manhole covers and fill in all the potholes first.

But that is a suface dressing on a worn tarmac road with a good thick base underneath. Here is is applied thinly over what appears to be planed earth. Whilst the road won-t have to stand up to frost, it can't have much stength to deal with HGVs
