Feckin vegilantes! who do they think they are? pious righteous I’m better than you attitude. We all know there are some practices by meat producers that are just not right and cruel but we don’t need you to tell us like you are some enlightened Guru and we are just some uneducated numpties! WE CAN READ TOO YOU KNOW. When I know of any company not working within my judgement of ethics I boycott them and/or buy from the alternatives. Supply and demand will push organisations to do the right thing balanced with well thought out regulations. That’s where effort should be directed and not in trying to get the whole world to go Vegan! I live in a farming area and I can tell you the crop and fruit Pickers I see, and know, are close to being exploited as slave labour in inhumane working conditions – where are your ethics here? or shall we all give up both meat AND plants and stave ourselves to death?

Fruit picking seems to be so difficult that most people cannot handle that job. In the USA, they give H2-A Visas to foreign workers. Still, that work is hard to fill and may years have crops that go unpicked such as the apples in Washington because there wasn't enough qualified workers to do the job.

I predict that sometime in the future, eating meat will be banned in most civilized countries. Meals produced will have a synthetic meat made of vegetable products.

Countries like India are trend setting for the rest of the world with the majority of their population as vegetarians.
