I take issue with 'new and improved'. If it's new, it has not existed before; if it is improved, it has existed and is, therefore, not new.
On a side note - those are some unsettlingly grotesque pies. I prefer my food not to look like the result of a road accident. |

I think you use words differently to the rest of us. I would be very surprised if she had improved the exact original pies. She produced new pies that were an improvement on the old pies. They are new and improved. |
