Absolute madness.  A renowned misogynist (accused by dozens of women of groping) orders his secretary to wrestle a mic off a reporter, and when the reporter weakly resists, he is banned for 'putting his hands' on a woman.  Seriously if anyone doesn't see through this crap they are total morons.  Another example of how a president in the USA can shut down freedom of the press and cherry pick who have access. Wake up America. The world is laughing at you.

US presidents have always been able to cherry pick who has access to White House press briefings.

Jim Acosta keeps making a scene at these briefings to manufacture outrage about the president being against freedom of the press.

CNN can apply for another journalist to attend but my guess is they won't because they'll play the victim to bolster their narrative.

The making a scene part happens after Donnie doesn't want to answer the question.

Hey Donnie, why are you orange?

I don't want to answer that question, next question.

(starts talking over other journalist) But Donnie, why wont you tell us why you are orange?

We've moved onto the next question, sit down and let the other journalist speak.

(still talking over other journalist) But Donnie, why won't you answer my question?

So you think the question Acosta was asking about possible foreign interference was as sensible as 'Why are you orange?' That's amazing!  I guess that's why Trump can get away with it.  Trump is against the freedom of the press, that's obvious.  No president has gone so far to undermine the media as him.  In the USA that seems to be seen as a quality these days.

No, I was using the orange thing as an stand-in since Acosta has done the same thing with multiple topics.

BTW, Obama used mass surveillance on Associated Press employees and their friends and family. Google it. That's far worse than calling the press fake news and revoking a briefing clearance.

Besides, the corporate media are responsible for destroying freedom of the press by operating at a loss to eliminate competition. There isn't a single news channel or publication in the US that isn't funded by wealthy donors or a parent company now. Plus the PR industry is more than twice the size of the news media now.

Trump is undermining the media that has been undermining itself for 30 years. LOL.

"Multiple topics"... multiple relevant topics, unlike 'Why are you orange'?  To watch Acosta be slapped down for asking the most important question faced by the Trump administration is bad enough... but then even worse, to watch as your entire country swallows a blatant distortion about 'putting hands' on the press secretary is truly mind-blowing.  It was filmed!  And then as if you couldn't make it worse, the Whitehouse shares a doctored video?  Seriously!  What has happened to your country?  WAKE UP!  We literally have clips of this running on UK comedy programs because it's a joke.  It's a joke.

Yes I know corporations run the USA (and politics of course, including the Trump administration) but corporations and media streams are welcome to 'undermine themselves' through their own behaviour if that's how you perceive it.  However, as soon as figures of authority start to do that, you have a major problem because there is no other way that the general public can learn about current affairs.  If you knew a little about world history you'd see the precedents in this sort of media demonisation and control. Ordering surveillance and monitoring the press is far far less sinister than what Trump is doing.  Continually undermining just about every news outlet available (shown perfectly in this clip), whilst gradually promoting himself (and his Twitter feed) as the ultimate purveyor of truth, is deeply deeply sinister.

But the fact he has his sheep following him, trusting him, and dismissing what they see with their own eyes in favour of what their master tells them, shows that he can and will get away with it.  Generations of Americans will look back at you and think what the shiny heck were you doing, playing apologetics for someone like Trump and enabling him.

I read this bit:

Which is enough to know you didn't understand my comment so I'm assuming the rest is also waffle and giving it a miss.

PS - I've just read some recent comments and it looks like you think I'm responsible for the "You can tell from a single sentence if its waffle and save urself the bother" that appears to have triggered you.  I'm not, but I appreciate that won't matter now you've found yet another tactic to hide from challenging debates.

Even when you adopt a different style of writing (your interest in social languages LOL) it’s still easy to identify your comments because they are always full of covert aggression.

Stop trolling people and I’ll stop trolling you.

^ Technique 1 of 1, avoiding honest discussion by pseudo-psychology memes ("covert aggression"), still unable to respond to the points against you.

Excellent admission that you're a troll though, attempting to raise an emotional response.  Just like last time. Deary me this is difficult for you isn't it?

That's right!  Only one person on this site uses "covert aggression" and only one person on this site bullies you. Keep telling yourself that. ROFLMAOMG

^ still trolling

covert aggression = narcissistic abuse = attacking its projected false self-image.

Therer’s only one narcissist on this site that uses all 3 narcissistic abuse techniques and that’s you.

1) undefined invalidation.

2) inverting responses.

3) lying.

No point reading your comments when the first statement is always one of the above.

Trolling is the continuation of discussions by other means.

Whenever you fancy stopping, discussions can continue, otherwise you are avoiding discussions, yet you’re too stupid to realise it.

^ Technique 1 of 1, still refusing to answer the points from the video, avoiding honest discussion by repeating pseudo-psychological hypocritical memes. "Stupid", so the childish insults have begun, marking the beginning of more intensive emotional dysregulation, lashing out at someone you perceive to be a threat.

Open admission of abusive trolling techniques designed to get an emotional response proves the level of maturity we are dealing with.  Clearly struggling with cognitive dissonance, both criticising me for alleged trolling, and admitting to doing the same.  Lack of self-awareness and self-control.

If you looked back over your history here, you would recall that every desperate comment you type falls into our (sorry my) hands.  I wholeheartedly encourage you to continue to patronise the site.  Thank you.

Change ‘you’ to ‘I’ and you’re finally catching on.

Explain how my comment about Acosta making a scene - where I used a stand-in: why are you orange? - isn’t a sensible question when the question itself isn’t relavent to the point I was making, as I had already made clear?

i.e. you started with a straw-man, technique 3 of 3 - lying.

The fact that you think I’m stupid enough to engage in a discussion with you, when I know you are trolling, like you do all over this site, like you’ve done to me countless times, just shows how f*cked up your mind is.

The obvious point is that repeatedly asking questions to a politician out-of-turn is not making a scene if and when the questions are genuine, incredibly important and unanswered.

You deliberately misrepresented the situation by giving an example of a ridiculous 'stand-in' (straw-man) question.  I also said how the Whitehouse misrepresented the situation too, by sharing doctored videos and filing disingenuous allegations.  You failed to address any of those points, instead attacking me with infantile and aggressive ad hominem put-downs like "sneaky", "stupid", "f*cked up" etc.

In other words, ^ Technique 1 of 1, using pseudo-psychological hypocritical memes to avoid honest discussion.  [You do it every time.  This site is full of you calling people narcissists, sociopaths, psychopaths, etc etc.]

Now you say you don't want to engage in discussion because I'm trolling, even though on this very page you admit that you are trolling, despite your use of trolling teenspeak like ROFL, despite you accepting elsewhere you try to get people to have a "temper tantrum", etc. etc.  Or you don't want to engage because I use covert aggression, even though you're openly aggressive to me and other commenters, telling people to F off etc. etc.

As for "Change ‘you’ to ‘I’ and you’re finally catching on" - inverted response, right?  See what I mean?  These aren't my mantras, they're yours, and you can't live by them for even a couple of comments before you contradict yourself.

You're a frustrated compski grad who has learned soundbites of pop-psychology, but you just can't bring yourself to apply it to your own behaviour.  You'd much rather use it to abuse others and avoid discussion.  Is that mature or childish?  Healthy or disturbed?

You're still not well, you know that.  It's nice that you spend so much time here, and god knows you've threatened to leave so many times, but (as another one of your ironic mantras went) perhaps for your own peace of mind "My advice would be to get off social media."

Just in case you missed it, when I said you obviously didn’t understand my comment that was technique 3 of 3 - lying.

That’s when you turned a discussion in trolling using your 3 narcissistic abuse techniques.

If you’d like to start over I’m fine with that but I know you’ll just keep trolling, it’s all you know.

Technique 1 of 1, avoiding discussion by using hypocritical pseudo-psycho-pathology (sic) ("Alinsky-esk" [sic]).  "False self-image", QED LOL.

We can expect to see further emotional dysregulation and even swearing while still religiously sticking to technique 1 of 1, avoid meaningful discussion when feeling threatened.  The points made in the original post will not be challenged, but the memes will be repeated.
